The IBC system, also known as the IBC mobile hopper, is part of the bulk material handling system, used for storing and transporting powders, granules, and other materials.

IBC System Workflow:
Discharging: At the bottom of the mobile hopper, a conical valve is used in conjunction with a discharge station to control material flow and prevent dust leakage.
Filling: At the hopper's opening, manually or automatically operated filling devices serve as dust-proof connections during material input.
Mixing: Using the mobile hopper with a rotary mixer enables faster and more efficient mixing. The IBC system is equipped with sealing systems and protective devices to ensure material safety and hygiene during the mixing process.
Working Principle: Before mixing begins, the IBC is lifted into position via a hydraulic device, and the conical valve is automatically secured. Sensors check whether the IBC lid is properly closed.
After verifying the IBC's position and status, a three-dimensional tumbling motion mixes the different internal materials. The conical valve inside the IBC aids in material dispersion, improving mixing uniformity.
Typically, the IBC is filled to about 75% capacity to ensure thorough tumbling and mixing. Mixing speed and duration can be adjusted based on material characteristics.
Operations are controlled by a PLC. An optional fly knife attachment can be added to effectively mix materials with poor flowability or those containing liquid additives.
